Nice to Meet you!
Our vision is to foster faith, inspire hope and create community over coffee and conversations. Our mission is to combine excellence in coffee with an environment focused on strengthening community. If hope and inspiration can be found over good coffee and good conversation, and we believe they can, that’s what you’ll find at 12 Stones Coffee Co.

Our Name
The 12 Stones Coffee name was inspired by the 12 stones of remembrance in Joshua 4. God commands Joshua to grab 12 stones from the Jordan River where he parted the waters for the Israelites to cross over into the “Promised Land.” The stones were used to build a memorial to remind future generations of the fulfilled promises of God. The 12 stones stand as a reminder for us today of God’s faithfulness, fulfilled promises, and Him going before us to remove any obstacles that remain on the path to the purpose He has put before us.
Excellent Coffee, food, and fellowship.
Our Story
The dream to open a coffeehouse started over 20 years ago for owner, Dina Maas. In fact, she had a partner, funding and place picked out to open in western North Dakota. The name was going to be Wind Canyon Coffee, a tribute to a favorite spot in the badlands where the Little Missouri River runs. Life circumstances intervened and that coffeehouse was not to be. However, the dream never died, but rather matured and continued to be shaped by a greater vision God was placing in her heart. Several years ago, the concept of 12 Stones Coffee Company was born in Hazen, ND. Once again, life circumstances intervened and owners Troy and Dina Maas found themselves moving to Bismarck. And, here we are today.

Conversations, connections, and community

Our Vision
At 12 Stones Coffee Company, community is at the heart of everything we do. Our space was created to be more than just a coffee shop. 12 Stones is a gathering place where neighbors connect, conversations spark, and relationships grow. Whether you’re catching up with friends, collaborating with colleagues, or meeting someone new, we believe coffee tastes better when it’s shared. Together, we’re building something greater than a cup of coffee—we’re building community.
